After more than four decades working in the financial services industry – the last four years as Managing Director of Close Finance, Kevin Allen is preparing to hang up his calculator (he’s already dispensed with the abacus he used when he started his career!) and step into a well-earned retirement.
During that time, he’s built rewarding relationships and is deeply appreciative of the colleagues, customers and partners who’ve supported him along the way. From helping businesses grow to supporting individuals across the Channel Islands, Kevin’s commitment to service, trust and community has left a lasting impression.
Here he shares his thoughts as he prepares to turn the page on an incredible chapter and Close Finance welcomes new leadership with confidence for the future.
“It’s with a mixture of joy and sadness that this is my final message before my retirement after 42 wonderful years in the financial services industry including the last four years with the incredible team at Close Finance.
Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to work with talented and dedicated professionals who have made this journey fulfilling and memorable. The last four years at Close Finance have been particularly special, thanks to the unwavering support and camaraderie of my colleagues and the trust and loyalty of our valued customers and partners.
As I look back on my time in this industry, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunities I’ve had and the relationships I’ve built. I’m hugely proud of the progress we’ve made together and the positive impact we’ve had in helping the people and businesses of the Channel Islands thrive. This continued trust in our services has been the cornerstone of our success over more than 50 years, and for that, I’m eternally grateful.
As I step aside, I’m confident that Close Finance will continue to thrive and grow under the capable leadership of my successor, Simon Winslow. Simon is currently the Operations Director in our Motor business in the UK and will be relocating to Jersey in the next few weeks.
I’ve every confidence that the dedication and passion of the team will undoubtedly drive Close Finance to new heights under Simon’s stewardship and I look forward to seeing its continued success from the sidelines.
Thank you once again for your trust, support and friendship over the years. It’s been an honour and a privilege to serve you. I wish you all continued success and happiness in the future.”
Simon Winslow will take up the role of Managing Director from August and he’s very much looking forward to relocating to Jersey and leading the Close Finance business in the Channel Islands.
